Leadership

Bro. Gary, with his wife Shirley, has been pastor of Faith since August of 2017. He is a lifelong resident of Texarkana and has earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees in Biblical Studies, along with a Doctor of Religious Studies degree. Bro. Gary was saved at Faith Baptist and he and Shirley were married here, so it is home for them. Gary and Shirley have two  children; Ashley McKnight and her husband Tyler, and Jason Glover and his wife Meaghan. They also have five grandchildren; Lilly and Easton McKnight, and Nolan, Hudson, and Lincoln Glover. Bro. Gary has been in the ministry for over forty years as a Deacon, Bible Study Teacher, Christian High School Teacher, Minister of Education, and Pastor. 

Mike joined us in January of 2023 with his wife, Tracey,  their daughter, Abby and son, Jake.
Mike has been involved with full-time church ministry for more than 35 years. He began working at his home church as the Activities Director. A graduate from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he received a masters degree in Christian Education with emphasis on youth education and gerontology. Served with First Baptist Church in Hope, AR for 14 years.

Sam and his wife Renee lead our 7th-12th grade students.

Kristy has been with us since August 2020 and serves as our financial secretary. Before that, she worked with Faith Christian Academy as their school secretary and helped with secretarial duties in their inaugural year. Married to Ricky Lanier for  over 25 years and they have two kids, Lucas and Lani.

Bobby oversees our maintenance and building/grounds needs and helps to keep our campus in top condition. Married to his wife Anita and has 3 kids and 5 grandkids. Both Bobby and Anita are serving in a variety of functions and activities at Faith and we are blessed to have them both.

Andrew and his family have called Faith home for over 20 years. Happily married to his wife, Marian.  He and his wife oversee all computer, tech, sound, and social media affairs for the church. 

Mike keeps the church neat and tidy!

Nobody beats Jimmy when it comes to cooking and preparing food for church events, banquets, fellowships, and festivals! Together with his wife, Elaine, they fulfill many roles and needs at Faith.
